To the Editor:

I would like to thank the voters and all of my supporters for their efforts during this past special election.

I am pleased to announce my candidacy for the Nov. 6 election, for which I have recently qualified.

Together, over the last four months, we have spent thousands of hours working tirelessly to inform the public about how we can change the direction of our city, and I am thrilled that our hard work has paid off. It is nothing short of phenomenal for a first-time, non-establishment candidate to pull in 42 percent of the vote! We have established a firm foundation for a win in November.

Again, my heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for your encouragement and support. Even though this campaign is focused on getting my name out there, this is not about me. It’s about us and our future together.

I’m honored by your faith in me and will continue to work harder than any candidate out there to see us through to our end goal. You can learn more about my efforts at trinabaughn.com.
