One person was taken to an Oak Ridge hospital after a westbound car went down a 15-foot embankment and landed on its roof in heavy brush next to East Tri County Boulevard in Oliver Springs on Friday morning, authorities said.

Authorities aren’t releasing the name of the female driver or her condition, Oliver Springs Police Department Sgt. Kevin Armes said. She was taken to Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.

The accident occurred at about 11:04 a.m. Friday near Bennett Road. Only one person and a Nissan car were involved, Armes said.

He said the cause of the crash is under investigation.

The person involved is a lady from Marlow, she lost her life. She is a long time family friend and lived out the road from us. Please keep her family in your prayers today.

John, thank you. Many may know her as Faye Currier, her husband is Steve. The family is very active in the church at Poplar Creek in Marlow.
