Here is the 2017 game schedule for Oak Ridge Lady Wildcats soccer:

Preseason

  1. July 29—KIL Jamboree: McMinn County (away)—10:30 a.m./Webb (away)—11:30 a.m.
  2. August 1—South Doyle (home)—7 p.m.
  3. August 3—CAK (away)—6 p.m.
  4. August 8—Alcoa (home)—7 p.m.
  5. August 10—Maryville (away)—7 p.m.

Regular Season

  1. August 15—Catholic (away)—6 p.m.
  2. August 17—Halls (home)—7 p.m.
  3. August 18—Arlington (away)—6 p.m. at Bearden Invitation Tournament
  4. August 19—Bartlett (away)—12 p.m. at Bearden Invitation Tournament
  5. August 20—Notre Dame—4 p.m. at Bearden Invitation Tournament
  6. August 22—Campbell County (away)—6 p.m.
  7. August 29—Grace Christian (home)—7 p.m.
  8. August 31—Heritage (away)—6 p.m.
  9. September 12—West (home)—7 p.m.

The Oak Ridge girls will be in a smaller district and region this year under the 2017-2018 classification announced by the TSSAA (Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association).

Here are the teams in Division I, Class AAA, Region 2, and Districts 3 and 4 this year:

Region 2

  • District 3
    • Campbell County High School of Jacksboro,
    • Halls High School of Knox County,
    • Karns High School of Knox County,
    • Oak Ridge High School, and
    • Powell High School.
  • District 4
    • Farragut High School of Knox County,
    • Hardin Valley Academy of Knox County,
    • Heritage High School of Blount County,
    • Lenoir City High School,
    • Maryville High School, and
    • William Blount High School of Blount County.

Here were the teams in Division I, Class AAA, Region 2, and Districts 3 and 4 last year:

Region 2

  • District 3
    • Anderson County High School,
    • Campbell County High School,
    • Central High School of Knoxville,
    • Clinton High School,
    • Gibbs High School of Knox County,
    • Halls High School,
    • Karns High School,
    • Oak Ridge High School, and
    • Powell High School.
  • District 4
    • Bearden High School of Knoxville,
    • Farragut High School of Knox County,
    • Hardin Valley Academy of Knox County,
    • Heritage High School of Blount County,
    • Lenoir City High School,
    • Maryville High School,
    • West High School of Knoxville, and
    • William Blount High School.

The teams no longer in Region 2, District 3, with Oak Ridge are Anderson County, Central, Clinton, and Gibbs. All four teams have dropped down to Class AA.

There are no new teams in the Lady Wildcats’ district in Class AAA.

Oak Ridge and Powell have played for the District 3-AAA championship in three of the past four years.

The Lady Wildcats won a Tuesday night scrimmage against South Doyle 9-1.
